Obviously a mixed night for @theSNP. The Tories threw the kitchen sink at Aberdeen South (a seat they won in 2017), on Oil and Gas, and it worked. So fair play to them. But Arbroath SNP win sinks any crackpot theories that 'Murrellgate' changed the Scottish Election result.

Seeing some wild interpretation of the byelection results. In Arbroath & Broughty Ferry the SNP's share of the vote increased by 6%. That's a good result. In Aberdeen South the SNP's vote share decreased by 4%. That's a bad result but certainly not a collapse.

how could any Scottish person think that voting Tory would benefit them after the performance of the last Tory government?
