To be PERFECTLY honest, Steph White has POWER in the @WNBA . She ACTUALLY has MORE power in Cathy Engelbert's twisted up eyes. The reason is: Commish Cathy has NEVER been required to make the W PROFITABLE. Ever. So, the 2 year CC BUMP in revenue is NOT as powerful as the Steph White/Lisa Salters PR & Agenda Team. Period. The new CBA, TV contracts & player contracts do NOT happen without @CaitlinClark22 . Yet, SHE was NOT featured in the League or Sports Media as even having a meaningful voice at the "NEGOTIATIONS" table. Why? Rhetorical question...

In the past, teams with back to back #1 draft picks have won a ring in three years. This Fever Front Office does not even appear to be trying to make that a reality for CC & AB. And that is heartbreaking.

Heard the same B.S. from people who don't know sports or the W last year. It's comical. The talent is only getting better in the Women's game and just because the Fever don't have a competent Strength & Conditioning Coach, yet alone a clue on Player Development, doesn't mean "there's nobody in the Draft after the top 5 picks". Hire a strong Developmental Team and a competent head coach and watch what can be done with the CORRECT Positional players drafted at 10 through 25...

Raven Johnson belongs in the WNBA, that I won’t disagree with. Raven Johnson can play really good defense overall, I ain’t argue that. What I will say is Raven Johnson would have been a better pick for another team and probably have a bigger role/impact alot sooner. If we didn’t sign Ty Harris, and the FO did this, I would question it but like ok, I don’t see the basketball reasoning to use your 10th pick on a PG who is not a combo guard, who is not a scoring guard to be your 3rd string PG, not at the 10th pick. My concern is with the FO lack of ball knowledge, scouting, proper usage of players and the use of a FRP.

After sleeping it off and thinking about it, I’m still bothered, not at our new draftee, but about the complete lack of maturity/awareness by our FO. I stand by my post below. @StephanieWhite @ambercox @LD_ChalkTalk @IndianaFever Mr. Herb Simon, you put these women in an unnecessary position, knowing the backstory, knowing there are some unresolved trauma on RJ, you are creating room for drama, think Pieces, allowing the media to start again with narratives in our locker room. This is not fair to any of these women, this is on all of you at the Front Office to allow a lot that’s has already started happening within the fanbases. Don’t talk to me about “ protecting the locker room” when you just took the door off it to allow a lot of unnecessary drama, and the media/fans to control the narrative.
