For those recently acquainted with #AffinityPhoto, it has a feature called Live Filters. You can apply filters non-destructively like adjustment layers and change parameters at any time, no layer merging/smart layers required. Lighting is a great example: bit.ly/3xpP3Bv

Even if you're only into one discipline (e.g. photography, graphic design), grabbing the entire suite for half price wouldn't be the worst idea. The apps all work together with a shared file format and functionality, plus it's a one-off price: all V2 upgrades, like V1, are free.

This year there seems to be an interesting trend of claiming that the #AffinityPhoto tutorials use an AI voice over. Perhaps I should be less precise, use colloquialisms and make the videos harder to understand for non-native English speakers...

I just cancelled my Adobe licence after many years as a customer. The new terms give Adobe "worldwide royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, distribute" or do whatever they want with any content I produce using their software. This is beyond insane. No creator in their right mind can accept this . You pay a huge monthly subscription and they want to own your content and your entire business as well. Going to have to learn some new tools.

@kopikumana_ Hi, the iPad versions have had a huge UI overhaul, they are closer to the desktop UI now. If you're on the fence, do consider that V2 upgrades are all free and we've had some useful tools and improvements since the initial launch in 2022...

@AntonioDeRosis You should always go for whatever works best for your needs! Photo’s raw development isn’t its primary focus or strength: most masking and non-destructive editing should be done in the main Photo workspace. That way, you have a huge amount of flexibility

@JamesR_Affinity I wonder if I should go with something that excels in one of those things separately rather than averaging on all of them. I mean, Affinity Photo does not even have an inversion mask selection option for its raw editor!
