Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who so generously donated and took part in the raffle. Thanks to your kindness and support, together we raised an incredible £2,020 and donated 207.9 kg of food to the Doncaster Foodbank warehouse. This wonderful achievement would not have been possible without the overwhelming generosity of our community. Every donation, contribution, and shared act of kindness has helped make a meaningful difference to families who need support the most. It was a true privilege to visit the Foodbank and meet Keith and the amazing volunteers. Seeing first-hand the compassion, dedication, and tireless work they carry out every day was incredibly moving. The Foodbank does far more than provide food - it offers dignity, care, and hope to individuals and families during some of their most challenging moments. The raffle winners were announced on the 3rd Jan and all winners have now been contacted by email. I am incredibly grateful that, together, we have been able to support families in our community during these difficult times. Thank you once again for your generosity and kindness. Jamie x

Food banks exist because people are going hungry in a society where they shouldn’t have to. Behind every food parcel is a person facing fear, exhaustion, and often shame — parents skipping meals so their children can eat, workers who still can’t afford the basics, older people choosing between food and heating. Walking into a food bank is often a last resort, but what people find isn’t judgment — it’s kindness and dignity. A single crisis like illness, redundancy, or a delayed payment can push anyone into need. Food banks step in when the system fails, making sure people don’t go hungry and reminding them they are not alone. Donating money to food banks turns compassion into action. It allows them to buy the food people actually need, respond quickly to rising demand, and support families with dignity.
