Good morning you gorgeous people. I’ve had an idea. How about we actually meet up for a drink in real life? Meet at a pub in London, buy a beer (or a wine if you must) and sit and chat about life, the universe and everything? No agenda. Just a great reason to go out, have a drink and a laugh and meet new people. What do you think? If people think it’s a decent idea and will actually come along and not leave me sat there by myself, then I’ll sort a date and let’s do it. Who knows, if it’s popular, we can do it monthly. I actually think this might be a good idea, but let me know what you think. Cheers.

This is my favourite New Year’s Eve poem, though it really is just a bit from a much larger, magnificent poem: In Memoriam by Tennyson. It has a religious feel, but you can enjoy the sentiment without it. Happy New Year: may the best of your past be the worst of your future.
