I just got off the phone with someone who works in defense policy in Washington. What they told me should end every "Trump is reckless" argument permanently. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage." Um... I have two questions: These are not incendiary questions. I am genuinely interested in legitimate answers. Please do not respond with a fuck Trump or similar or I will block you. If we have overstated our dominance, then fine.. say that and back that up with a reference or two. If it's because of insurance issues on ships and cargo then say that with some references. Here are my questions: 1. If we have full control of the skies & can strike at will in Iran, how do they still have control over the Strait of Hormuz? 2. If we were energy independent and exporting our extra 6 years ago, why are we experiencing a shortage & higher prices today?

ごめん。 ｢日本人が思うようなアメリカ人になりなさい｣って言葉を聞いて、最初に浮かんだのが2リットルのコーラ片手に特大ピザ食ってる肥満デブだったので、自分の中の雑なアメリカ観にちょっと申し訳なくなった。

大量のアメリカ人とXで交流してわかったこと ・アメリカではエアソフトガンを実銃の下位互換として扱ってるわけではない ・数代前の先祖が持っていたウィンチェスターライフルを家宝のように子や孫に受け継がせる風習がある ・ウィスキーや肉料理は日本でいうところの地酒や郷土料理でお国自慢の材料にしたり、きのこたけのこ戦争みたいなことをしている ・支持政党や思想などの分断が闇を感じるほどマジで激しい。こじらせてる人間はたとえ親日家でもどこか恐怖を感じる。 ・日本人と積極的に交流しようとしてるのは基本的に保守層。もちろん日本嫌いの保守層もいる。 ・「日本人をカリフォルニア州に全員移住させて、代わりにクソのカリフォルニア人を日本列島に移して対中露の肉壁にするべき」と言われるくらいカリフォルニアの都市住人は嫌われてる。 ・自宅の庭で日本人とBBQをして肉をウィスキーで流し込んだ後にアメ車かトヨタ車で射撃場に行って銃で遊びたいと本気で考えている人間は大勢いる。
