Sony announced them killing off physical games with a tweet and a blog post like it was some regular Wednesday, expecting people will be mad for a bit and move on. And now the backlash has gotten so big it’s being covered by mainstream news outlets. DON’T LET UP, DON’T SHUT UP.

Mainstream media finally weighing in on this and it's a incredibly pro-consumer toned headline. That's typically the silver bullet to big business.

Never let anyone make you feel childish for getting excited about video games. Growing older doesn't mean giving up the things that make you happy.

@PlayStation The game that doesn't have a proper physical release gets extra advertising. How "on brand" for you. You are really lucky that people haven't realized yet what your decision to kill discs means for all of them in the future. Otherwise you'd get endless broadsides.

@PlayStation Grab a friend? Sure! We are going to play some physical games on my Switch 2. I ordered games yesterday that were also available for PS5 but I instead got them for my Switch 2. If only you didn't make those really terrible anti-consumer decisions, I would've gotten them for PS5.

Reminder that it took Xbox nearly 2 weeks to reverse those awful anti-used games and digital check-in decisions after E3 2013. Even if it takes ages till Sony/PlayStation finally addresses anything, don't stop bullying them!

It is nice knowing that I have the last great Playstation. PS5 Pro will be my forever Playstation and im not mad at it. Ill be able to play PS4/5 games at the highest settings and I have a PS1/2/3 for everything older. PC and Switch 2 for everything else. Fuck I need a PS6 for?
