Jesus raised the dead, so did Elijah. So what makes Jesus special? Elijah: “O LORD my God, I pray, let this child's soul come back to him.” (1 Kings 17:21) Jesus: “Lazarus, come forth!” (John 11:43) Elijah begged, JESUS COMMANDED! JESUS is the GOD to whom Elijah prayed!

The protestant reformation is a return to the sound doctrine of the Bible. Revival is the practice of that sound doctrine under the power of the Holy Spirit. “The Bible in the pulpit must never supersede the Bible at home.”

You are the one He left Heaven for, bled for, rose for & is coming back for.

Don’t focus on not sinning, focus on Christ and the desire to sin will fade away.

How ashamed would you be if men could see your thoughts? Is not the eye of God more to be regarded?

Prayer as it comes from the saint is weak & languid; but when the arrow of a saint's prayer is put into the bow of Christ's intercession it pierces the throne of grace.

Nothing that God has made is self-existent. Self-existence belongs exclusively to the I AM THAT I AM.

What did Jesus do when He was tempted? He threw the Book at the Devil; “it is written, it is written, it is written”.

Fear cannot delay our time to die one hour. Willing or unwilling, we pass away. Every godly man may desire to live longer as Paul did, to be able to serve the church, but there isn’t a greater authority or joy than the voice of God saying; “well done, good & faithful servant.”

Sin never announces itself to us with it’s full intentions. It never says, “I am your deadly enemy & I want to ruin you forever in Hell”. It shows it’s pleasure, but hides it’s pain; shows it’s sparkle, but hides it’s death.

Paul never said ‘we should respect others’ beliefs’. He said; ‘if anyone preach a different Gospel, let them be accursed’. (Galatians 1:8)

The greatest moments in history are not battles of conquerors, but the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Sovereign grace is the highest manifestation of God's glory in salvation.

How many have been wheeled to Hell in the chariots of earthly pleasures, while others have been whipped to Heaven by the rod of affliction…

Remember that sufferings are the ordinary way to Heaven. Love Heaven better & your sufferings will seem lighter, & your fear of them will be less.

If the water is foul in the well, it cannot be clean in the bucket. If the heart is full of sin, the duties cannot be pure.

In giving Christ to die for poor sinners, God gave the richest jewel in His cabinet; A mercy of the greatest worth, & most inestimable value. Heaven itself is not so valuable & precious as our Lord Jesus Christ is.

Pope Boniface VIII, in his bull Unam Sanctum, stated that submission to the Roman Pontiff is "altogether necessary for salvation". Not found within the Holy Scriptures, nor by the early church fathers.

If you’re going to preach about God‘s love, preach about what God hates. If you preach about God’s mercy, preach about God‘s wrath. If you mention Heaven, don’t forget Hell. Preach the whole council of God (Acts 20:27). “A half truth, equals a whole lie.”
