Zo'n eerste dag voor nieuwe Extreem linkse burgemeesters gaat niet bepaald gladjes. In Goussainville is een politieke tegenstander op straat neergestoken. De broer van de herkozen burgemeester Abdelaziz Hamida (voorheen op de S-lijst, een Franse veiligheidslijst) is aangehouden op verdenking van poging tot moord. Het slachtoffer, een 29-jarige man die dicht bij de oppositie staat onder leiding van Jean-Charles Laville, werd in zijn buik gestoken. De verdachte, de 42-jarige Hosseyne Hamida, is niemand minder dan de broer van de herkozen burgemeester. Na een eerste woordenwisseling zou hij zijn teruggekeerd naar de plaats delict en zijn slachtoffer hebben neergestoken. Het Openbaar Ministerie heeft een onderzoek naar poging tot moord geopend. De oppositie hekelt het klimaat van geweld, bedreigingen en intimidatie tijdens de campagne en overweegt juridische stappen om de verkiezingen ongeldig te laten verklaren.
