I was living with my boyfriend who was Muslim then, he was honestly a good boy but the only bad thing about him was that he was a mummy’s boy. He listens to me but if his mom should tell him not to do something or get me something, he would never refuse her. That got me angry a lot. This woman was always picking on me. No matter what I did, I never pleased her. She would even cook up lies to tell her son about me and he would believe her blindly without confirming from me. I was honestly not at peace in my man’s house. I didn’t want to live with him but he suggested it and even begged me too, he never told me his mama would always give me hard time. She had her own house, was still living with her husband, my man’s dad but she spent most of her time with us. I was honestly choked One day, I decided not to take shit from her anymore cos I was honestly fed up of her complaints and hatred for me, she didn’t like the fact that I was a Christian but she had no say in that. Her son made it clear he made his choice. So her hands were tied. But she made sure to suffer me in other ways possible. I drove down to my stylist salon to get my hair down one afternoon (a guy). Fine minutes into the hair, I asked him if he could help me with a tiny favor, he laughed and told me I didn’t need to ask that I’m a good person also a regular customer so he would do anything for me. I was happy so I told him I would text him the details later at night. I finished with my hair and went home to make dinner for my man and his mom.

I mentioned one guy I usually see around. He told me to take a picture the next time I see him, and later he sent me ₦50k, saying it was a gift. Last week, I saw the guy coming out of my neighbour's flat. I quickly took a picture of him and sent it to my neighbour. A few hours later, my neighbour called and said he knows the guy. Apparently, he’s his wife’s best friend. Now he’s asking me to return the ₦50,000.
