@browncharley23 @Leo_Puglisi6 Simply not true. If Labors primary wasn’t as strong as it was, there would be like 5-10 suburban seats they’d flip. Victorian Labors primary isn’t nearly as strong as SA Labor

@Leo_Puglisi6 It will be like SA in that the majority, if not all, of seats they will win will be Liberal seats.

One Nation will probably be disappointed that they're not making the two-candidate-preferred (let alone winning) Nepean But definitely don't think they can be ruled out of winning Victorian lower house seats in regional/outer suburban areas given they're polling 20%+ statewide

She was pro choice and the first world leader to talk about climate change (and later hated how the far left highjacked the climate issue)
MelegReiziger ✝️🟦@MelegReizinger

@Mean_Repubican Thatcher refused to appoint women to her early cabinet, believing them to be emotional, and expressed vehement opposition to what we'd call DEI today. She'd be a semi-disillusioned Republican that still, very opposed to compromise/centrist factions, passionately endorses Trump⬇️

@thebearpundit Like it’s not enough to make me vote Republican, but I can at least criticize how a state is ran by the party I’m with

Keisha Lance Bottoms — former Atlanta Mayor & Biden administration official — is almost certainly gonna have a spot in the GA governor Dem runoff. The other spot is wide open. It’ll likely come down to Jason Esteves, Geoff Duncan & Mike Thurmond. I like Mike. Let’s talk about the field. Keisha Lance Bottoms (Former Atlanta Mayor & Biden Admin Official) Bottoms has had huge leads in the polls, but a lot of that is likely just name recognition. But a lot of Georgia Democrats — including Black Georgia Democrats — are not fans of hers. She chose not to run for a second term as mayor of Atlanta in 2021, and was seen by many as abandoning the city in the throes of the pandemic (and an accompanying major violent crime wave) to take a job in the Biden administration. Just this week, Bottoms wouldn’t commit to a second term as governor. There are a lot of people across the spectrum in GA who don’t like Bottoms for various reasons. To date, she hasn’t received a single endorsement from a single Dem elected official in Georgia (though notably was just endorsed by her former boss, Joe Biden, and Gavin Newsom for some reason). And I think she could be a weak general election nominee, (though could be saved by just how blue this cycle is shaping up to be). Jason Esteves (Former State Senator & Atlanta Public School Board Member) Esteves is great on paper — young Afro Latino state legislator who can raise money and has a ton of in-state endorsements — but just hasn’t been able to translate that into getting people to vote for him. I don’t see how he beats Bottoms in a runoff. Just don’t think the coalition is there, and he clearly just doesn’t have the juice. He’s putting out policy papers on very normie positions but isn’t seen as a “fighter” by GA Dems. Among other things, his ties to the ADL, soft support of vouchers, and inability to oppose data centers fully is why he hasn’t been able to seal the deal with progressives. Geoff Duncan (former Republican Lieutenant Governor) Duncan has theoretical crossover appeal for the general election, but was a pro-life, pro-gun, anti-Medicaid expansion, pro-voter suppression conservative Republican like 5 minutes ago, and basically flip flopped on all that stuff as he launched his gubernatorial campaign as a Democrat. So there are ver real concerns (especially among Black and progressive GA Democrats) that he’s just an opportunist & no one knows how he would actually govern if he wins. Just a trust issue. I think Keisha would beat him easily, even if Big AI continues to fund him. Michael Thurmond (Former State Labor Commissioner & DeKalb County CEO) Thurmond was the last Democrat to win statewide in Georgia before Biden/Warnock/Ossoff won in 2020. But he got smoked when he ran for Senate in the 2010 red wave. He was credited with stabilizing the DeKalb County school system as its interim superintended (after its accreditation agency threatened to strip its seal of approval due to financial mismanagement & dysfunction). Most recently he was elected to two terms as DeKalb County CEO (basically Georgia’s version of county commissioner). It had $150M in the bank when he left office, per AP. He’s old (73), isn’t exactly an electric campaigner & is a weaker fundraiser than the other three main candidates. But, like I said, a lot of GA Dems don’t like Keisha. And just by virtue of not being her, I think the Jason/Geoff/anti-Keisha money will come if he makes the runoff. He’s experienced but doesn’t have notable baggage/is broadly inoffensive. He can make an electability argument, even if it’s not a recent one. He can appeal to older Black voters — who make up a huge portion of the primary electorate in a way that Esteves and Duncan just can’t. And he can theoretically appeal to more moderate white Democrats. And I think that same coalition could make him a particularly formidable general election candidate — especially against the more extreme Rick Jackson or Burt Jones — as well.

She's even more charming in real life. @HaleyforMI is a literal Lisa Frank trapper keeper in human form --all rainbows, good vibes and Poochie stories on the outside, and brilliant policy ideas & receipts on college lined notebook paper on the inside. Can't wait to call her our next Senator for Michigan!
