Speaking candidly, Eyiyemi revealed that she would rather marry a poor man than a wealthy one, explaining that she believes wealth can sometimes make men disrespectful or unfaithful in relationships. According to her, “I cannot marry a rich man and can’t be a second or third wife.” She explained that she prefers a man who is financially modest because he would be less likely to look down on her or engage in infidelity. She argued that once some men become wealthy, they may feel more confident in pursuing other women because they can afford to do so. However, Eyiyemi clarified that while she prefers a poor man, she cannot marry a man who is completely dependent on her for survival. She stressed that any man she marries must be hardworking and have a legitimate source of income.
