Democrats may have gotten the NFL, guns, and the Bible in the national divorce - but one thing they definitely didn't get is common sense. Give the amount of executive overreach over the past year, one would THINK they're be fighting tooth and nail for checks and balances and separation of powers. Instead, in Georgia, they're fighting a bill that would restrain executive power. Meanwhile, the state GOP is standing up for democracy and the rule of law.

What’s the deal with data centers? ❌ States shouldn’t block them across the board. We’re in an AI race with China. ❌ States shouldn’t incentivize them. End taxpayer funded special interest tax breaks. ✅ Protect ratepayers. Everyone acknowledges the high energy needs of data centers. Data centers should pay for their expenses, not average Georgians. SB 34 and HB 1063 are moving. The people of Georgia have been loud and clear about their desire to see energy costs driven down—and not be on the hook for costs they didn’t incur themselves. Any final bill must have affirmative protections for ratepayers without loopholes. #gapol
