I genuinely don't understand how the league can't look at the final year of a current contract (let's say it's 2035 for XYZ team) and get ownership to agree upon a reset for 2036 and beyond. Mark the date now and start working towards the new framework. What am I missing here?

Broadcast rights are a complex piece of #sportsbiz. Particularly for MLB. But for the umpteenth year, several teams' mentions on Opening Day are filled with question on streaming. The cognitive dissonance of "grow the game" + dysfunctional viewing structure remains incredible.

@FortressHouston Stronger focus on where fans are seated was at the top of my list for notes. You're not alone there. It's in our post-event recap. I get the desire for free. But this @LinkingCoogs event supported Coogs NIL + gave fans access. That's a win-win to me. No doubt it'll grow.

I swear these guys have no clue what they are doing sometimes. SMH 😪 Charging for the event, and spreading out the crowd essentially left the stadium deader than a door nail. Ought to have just PACKED the club…. OPTICS MATTER.

Scenes at UH basketball’s watch party at the Fertitta Center right before the Selection Sunday show. The entire team was introduced as well with the crowd primarily on the court and lower level.
