Anybody know what tests one would ask a doctor for post-covid to check for complications? I know a d-dimer would be good but otherwise I’m unsure what to ask for. Preparing for when my husband is on the mend.

My husband just tested positive for c*vid for the first time. I’m absolutely losing my mind with worry, and anger, and all the things. Hoping against hope we were quick enough to stop it with him and spare my daughter & mom, but I’m not optimistic. Words of comfort/advice welcome

@ratio_verrueckt @everesists Yes I do still have the cartridge. When I looked at it (admittedly not that closely) before inserting I didn’t immediately notice any bubbles.

@JessBSR @everesists I am not an expert but this sounds more like an artifact. Or it could be early days of infection of course. The device measures how much light passes through the chambers. This could be influenced by airbubbles. Do you still have the cartridge?

@ratio_verrueckt @everesists I don’t have a screenshot, unfortunately. It was a yellow channel and it curved upward looking exponential for a short time and then levelled off to flat. It was just one channel like this, all others were minor bumps/overall flat.

@JessBSR @everesists Does it show exponential like growth and is the channel red in the result? Do you have a screenshot? The curves can be bumpy and follow weird trajectories sometimes. But if sth is positive there is usually a trend consistent on a few or all channels. I know it from Strep A tests.
