It’s a disservice to kiwis to lose long form, investigative journalism and if it goes it’s something that will be impossible to come back from. I will be advocating strongly that TVNZ retains current affairs in some way, shape or form for the sake of kiwis.

It’s stories like this that I fear will never get told if this plan goes ahead. It’s a loss to our newsroom and to those staff. It’s also a loss to kiwis.

The last few weeks as a journalist has been so disheartening. As someone who loves what I do it’s hard to watch. But the news today that @fairgonz and @sundaytvnz will end is particularly devastating. Last year I did a story for Sunday about raising a child with a disability.
