
Creator of 'The Ring' Kōji Suzuki has passed away today 😔 Japanese horror author Kōji Suzuki, creator of the iconic Ring series, has reportedly passed away at the age of 68. Often called the “Stephen King of Japan,” Suzuki helped popularize modern J-Horror worldwide through his 1991 novel 'Ring', which later inspired the legendary Ringu films and the global hit The Ring. His work became known for combining psychological horror, technology, and Japanese folklore, influencing an entire generation of horror movies and creators. Suzuki also wrote Spiral, Loop, and Dark Water, cementing his legacy as one of Japan’s most influential horror writers. Rest in peace to a legend of horror storytelling. 🕯️
