For the fourth year in a row, I am proud to support chess in Africa through official sponsorship. This year, I am especially pleased to support the 2026 African Individual Chess Championship in Botswana as an official sponsor - an important event for the continent and for global chess. Africa is a key pillar of our sport. Its federations, its young talents, and its growing continental structures are playing a decisive role in shaping the future of chess. Sustainable progress requires long-term commitment, partnership, and respect for the work of national federations. I remain ready to support any federation in its initiatives to develop chess, strengthen institutions, and create new opportunities for players.
