See as survivors of sexual assault we know that if there are no severe consequences then the perpetrators will continually commit the crimes. The trauma that we live through, becomes even more difficult if our rapists run free.

More people are mad at Amy Acton for trying to prevent them from dying from the emergence of a novel virus than they are that Wexner and the OhioGOP have been involved in three decades of corruption, greed, and rape You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink...
Dr. Amy Acton@amyactonoh

I grew up in poverty in Youngstown, put myself through college, and was a young mom during my medical residency. Today, too many Ohio parents worry that their kids won't have the chance to get ahead. My ActOn Lowering Costs affordability agenda is designed to give hardworking Ohioans the much-needed breathing room that they deserve. Learn more at actonforgovernor.com.

Planned Parenthood Ohio's @DanielleFirsich calls out Ohio State Rep. Josh Williams (R) for pushing a drag and anti-trans bill in order to "protect children" while allowing Rep. Rodney Creech (R), who is accused of gross sexual misconduct with a minor relative, to sponsor it. "I also don't want to be lectured about when it comes to what is obscene or not to children. You have a man who has just put back on his committees, who was accused of sexual misconduct with a minor, who is a sponsor on this bill. You all let him have his committee privileges back."

Jon Husted is at the core of the largest corruption scandal in Ohio history, and you’re paying the price on your utility bills every damn month.  Ohio can’t trust – or afford – Jon Husted.

“I don’t understand why women don’t just press charges if they were really assaulted.” When I was younger, I was assaulted. There was even a recording of it. When I finally told my family, they pushed me to press charges, so I did. I thought having proof would make things easier. But when the case went to court, his lawyer played the tape in front of everyone. They paused it, replayed parts of it, and tried to argue that the way I reacted meant I wanted it. That I wasn’t really being hurt. Sitting there while strangers watched and analyzed the worst moment of my life felt like being violated all over again. It didn’t matter that there was evidence. It didn’t matter that I told the truth.bThat’s why some women don’t press charges. Because sometimes even with proof, the process turns your trauma into something people feel entitled to question.
