Till now, in 2025….The United States has never had a freestyle male wrestler compete at U23 Worlds in the same year that they competed on the U20 or Senior worlds. This is Nearly half our U23 team (4/10) this year!! Are U23 team has 3 of our senior world team guys on it 😂 -Jax Forrest took 5th @ Srs -Marcus Blaze won U20 Gold -PJ Duke won a U20s (Gold) & wrestled at Seniors -Levi Haines won a Sr Silver Oh and by the way, 3 others (Mesenbrink, Lilledahl, and Barr) were all in Final X, meaning they were our Senior World team alternates. Both Lilledahl, and Blaze will attempt to become the first American male to win world titles in the 3 age levels of U17-U20-U23. If not this year, they could have 3 more jabs at U23s if they choose, while Meyer can also go for it next year. This U23 team has had 7 guys who have wrestled in an age level world final. 4 of them are Junior world champs, while one was just in a senior world final. Luke Lilledahl 4 consecutive age level world finals heading into this year. U17 Silver, U17 Gold, U20 Silver, U20 Gold Jax Forrest U17 Silver, Sr 5th Marcus Blaze U17 Gold, U20 Gold, Bronze PJ Duke U20 Gold, Bronze Mitchell Mesenbrink, U20 Silver , U20 Gold, U23 Bronze Levi Haines Senior Silver Josh Barr U20 Silver It makes you also realize again how insane it is that Amit Elor in back to back years, won U20, U23, Senior Gold medals. Did this twice!!!!
