@ByMarkDaniels Gonzalez did an excellent job on Harrison, the consensus choice as the best WR in the '24 draft. Gonzalez and rookie QB Drake Maye are the top two of what, sadly, are only a very few @Patriots players worth watching this sorry season. #NFL

I've been thinking about this comment for way too long.
I'd appreciate some input. In man coverage, if a cornerback allows a reception on a pick play, should I assign that corner blame?
Historically, I give the offense credit for a well-designed play and don't assign blame.

@ScottCordischi @PizzitolaFan This year, should have been Harvard. Which, tied for first at 5-2 with Dartmouth and Columbia, beat both of those teams.

@PizzitolaFan They will likely use the same tie-breakers used for hoops: 1. head-to-head 2. record vs. top team in the standings on down 3. use some type of FCS rankings to break the tie 4. flip a coin

Two thoughts:
1. Will be interesting to see how the league decides to resolve ties for first place. I would be interested to know who would’ve qualified this year.
2. Major shift in mindset from league presidents. Does this indicate a willingness to re-work other policies? 👀

Should have happened years ago. Ivies compete for national titles in all other sports. There was no good reason football wasn't one of them.

@ross_roger8931 @Patriots Au contraire. Belichick is ONE OF the greatest coaches of all-time, a ranking earned by his Super Bowl victories. But he's not the GOAT, because of his inability to win without #TomBrady. As a personnel guy, he was indeed mediocre, as the rapid decline of @Patriots shows.

#JerodMayo is the latest in a looong list of former assistants to #BillBelichick who have struggled to win as #NFL head coaches, joining the likes of Josh McDaniels, Matt Patricia, Eric Mangini, Romeo Crennell, Joe Judge, Brian Daboll, and Brian Flores. Doesn't speak well for BB.

@Luke2315yee @sdinwoodie88 True. But @Patriots didn't make the playoffs and, as noted, Belichick won just 1 postseason game in 11 seasons without #TomBrady as QB. Parcells, for example, won two SBowls with different QBs, took @Patriots to a Super Bowl with Bledsoe at QB, and got Jets to AFC title tilt.

@Luke2315yee Given the track record, why would you hire a Belichick assistant? BTW, without Tom Brady at QB, Belichick won exactly one playoff game in 11 seasons. In contrast, Joe Gibbs won Super Bowls with Joe Theismann, Doug Williams, and Mark Rypien at QB. Make of that what you will. #NFL

First, there were major problems with the Washington Bridge. Now, The RiBridges system was hacked and the personal data of hundreds of thousands of Rhode Islanders was stolen by cybercriminals. I'd say it's a bridge too far to expect @GovDanMcKee to be re-elected.

@ScottCordischi @Patriots @AZCardinals Check out Army's success rate on 4th down this season. It's a legitimate option. Wouldn't do it every time, because sneak can be effective, but offers legitimate chance not only for first down, but also for bigger gain than possible with scrum in pileup in middle of the line.

Been a lot of chat on "X," wondering why @Patriots didn't have rookie Drake Maye try QB sneak on short yardage vs. @AZCardinals. How about letting him run out of the shotgun in that situation, like Army QB Bryson Daily?

Although they're in the same state, @NDFootball and @IndianaFootball have played just once since 1958, and that was back in 1991. The Irish & Hoosiers did play regularly in the '50s. Notre Dame has played much more often against another instate rival - @BoilerFootball

Had a bizarre dream last night… Was given the opportunity to start a final Spring Training game for the Red Sox against the Orioles in Sarasota, FL. Went 8 strong innings and had a single at the plate. But - we ended the game after top 9 because I couldn’t find my glove!😳⚾️😂
