The official definition of Islamophobia — repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — describes anti-Muslim hostility as: “prejudicial stereotyping of Muslims, or people perceived to be Muslim, including because of their ethnic or racial backgrounds or their appearance, and treating them as a collective group defined by fixed and negative characteristics, with the intention of encouraging hatred against them, irrespective of their actual opinions, beliefs or actions as individuals”. This definition will stifle legitimate criticism, challenge and debate about Islam, its practices and its history — including the burqa. This is insane. Make it stop!! The same police force have had to pay out money for unlawfully arresting a couple over WhatsApp messages. Even if they didn’t charge this guy, take it from someone that knows, he would have been terrified. If you are not used to dealing with the police and get arrested from your home then put in a cell. That in its self is enough to terrorise the average law abiding citizen As I have said previously, I thought the police had committed to doing away with non crime hate crime? In my opinion, the police are not to be trusted. They are not on our side. They are on the side of the establishment.
