In September 2021, amid rage over Liberal COVID mandates and overreach, Liberal MP Chris Bittle’s family Mazda SUV was hit with washable white spray paint reading “FU Liberals” in his St. Catharines driveway overnight. It was criminal vandalism, plain and simple.  Allan Benner’s St. Catharines Standard story didn’t just report the facts. He drew an unnecessary and false implication by dragging a peaceful protest into the article with zero evidence linking the two smearing law-abiding demonstrators as violent thugs to drum up sympathy for the Liberal politician. Even worse, when I first met Benner at a St. Catharines park with fellow protester Sandor, I was polite and friendly. He sat with us for over an hour, all smiles, asking questions. As two fathers, we laid out our grievances about vax mandates and governments bribing kids with ice cream and fries to get jabbed. He included none of it. That’s how biased and dirty his reporting is: friendly face-to-face, then total silence on our concerns while protecting Liberals and demonizing critics. No wonder trust in local legacy media is dead.

Fred DeLorey delivered a big victory for the Liberals when he was the campaign manager for Erin O’Toole. I’m sorry, I can respect some of the skill Fred DeLorey but can we stop bringing up the fact that he was on a winning team back in 2011 to pretend like he can’t help but spread dumb pro-Liberal talking points and belittle people for caring about MPs betraying their voters. I’m sorry that ideological consistency offend you and apparently makes me a “radical imam” but we have in fact ran the past 4 CPC campaigns pulling punches and neglecting to show up with a bold national vision and we lost. I want the Conservative to run on a bolder platform, let their members pick the candidates, and stop listening to legacy media pundits who advised defeatism to the CPC at every turn. Fred was one of the people who said that Pierre should be more cooperative and less oppositional to the Liberals and when he did that, the Liberals took the opportunity to wine and dine MPs and get them to cross the floor. Real cooperative spirit from the Mark Carney Liberals who had been complaining that the Conservatives were not helping enough on trade. 🙄 I don’t think Fred actually knows what he’s talking about in our current political environment but his credentials allow him to get on TV and talk anyways.

My best piece of evidence the CBC is a Liberal front group is that Fred DeLorey is the "Conservative" on CBC Power & Politics. Yes, let's have the campaign manager of Erin O'Toole on to tell us what Conservatives think about politics in Canada... Next Ken Boessenkool will come on to give the Alberta UCP perspective! 🤣

Le conflit de travail chez Metro, qui paralyse l'approvisionnement en produits frais au Québec depuis la fin mars 2026, est devenu un enjeu majeur tant pour les travailleurs que pour les consommateurs. Voici un tour d'horizon de la situation actuelle. Le cœur du conflit : salaires et revendications Le mouvement de grève, déclenché officiellement le 30 mars 2026, regroupe environ 550 employés du centre de distribution de Laval (le seul appartenant à Metro au Québec pour les fruits et légumes), ainsi que des travailleurs du siège social et de l'entrepôt Mérite à Rivière-des-Prairies. Salaires actuels : Selon les données syndicales (CSN), le salaire de départ à l'entrepôt est de 20,29 $/ h, tandis qu'un employé au sommet de l'échelle peut atteindre 33,71$ / h après cinq ans. Les demandes syndicales : Les travailleurs réclament un « rattrapage important » du pouvoir d'achat. Ils demandent une augmentation de 20 % pour la première année, suivie de 5 % pour les années subséquentes. Ils soulignent que leur dernière convention a été signée avant la pandémie et que l'inflation a érodé leurs gains, alors que les profits de Metro et les dividendes aux actionnaires ont explosé. Autres enjeux : Le conflit porte aussi sur la protection du télétravail pour le personnel de bureau et la réduction de la sous-traitance pour les chauffeurs de camions. Réponse de l'employeur La direction de Metro qualifie les demandes syndicales de « déraisonnables ». Conséquences pour les consommateurs québécois La grève frappe directement les bannières Metro, Super C, Adonis et Marché Richelieu. Les impacts sont visibles et se font de plus en plus sentir : Tablettes vides : Depuis le début d'avril, plusieurs succursales à travers le Québec (notamment à Montréal, Laval et dans le Centre-du-Québec) affichent des étalages de fruits et légumes complètement dégarnis. Les produits frais « ne pardonnent pas » et la chaîne d'approvisionnement est rompue. Hausse de prix potentielle : Pour contourner l'entrepôt bloqué, Metro doit s'approvisionner via des fournisseurs tiers ou des livraisons directes en magasin. Ces solutions logistiques entraînent des surcharges de transport et des coûts d'opération plus élevés, qui risquent d'être refilés aux consommateurs. Déplacement de la demande : Les clients se tournent vers d'autres bannières ou vers les marchés publics. Ce transfert de clientèle crée une pression supplémentaire sur les stocks de ces commerces, provoquant parfois des ruptures de stock ailleurs également.

A Kitchener vice-principal and multiple individuals in the Waterloo Region were charged as part of a province-wide child exploitation investigation with 33 arrests and 136 charges across Ontario. Let that sink in. People in positions of trust. In our communities. Around our children. This is not about headlines it’s about systemic failure and vigilance. Where were the safeguards? How long did this go unnoticed? And how many warning signs were ignored? Accountability cannot stop at arrests.
