Anytime I see Aerith and Tifa posted in any “who would you choose” post, I know the poster is a shipper. Any time I see them together as a team, I know shippers are going to spam the comments putting down one character or the other. Seriously, they are friends, and they are both written by K. Nojima. Spoiler alert, he wrote them both as strong heroines. I have some issues with OG, but in the compilation, they are both awesome.

Just beat FFVI for the first time. Amazing game, would love to see it get the Remake treatment.

@MatthewMcCrell In the OG, Nojima created a clear line of demarcation between Aerith’s role as the heroine who stops meteor and Tifa’s role as the heroine of the internal conflict and saving Cloud. I have faith Revelations will preserve that.

I do think it was a little unrealistic to not expect either Zack or Aerith to appear in the LSS given how the story has gone so far. I still don’t know if I’ll like it or even if I’m behind the idea, but hopefully they’ll surprise us with something good.

@JC_Detona @Chapter777_ Rebirth on PS5 sold below their internal expectations. Remake sold very well and Rebirth on other platforms has been selling well. The mistake was always exclusivity not the fact the game was in 3 parts.

@NoTengoStand The narrative is shorter than FF7. I have thought about the number of characters, 14 is way too many, but quite a few are optional and have little to no role in the actual story.

@JohnFinalF Hell no, that's way too big of a game and has way too many characters. Something that looks visually more like the new Final Fantasy Resonance would be a much better fit.

@duopierce Yeah, I saw that and I’m not surprised. I wonder if Kitase and Sakaguchi would be willing to helm it. But similar to FF9, my expectation is it won’t happen.

@JC_Detona It would almost certainly be a multi-platform release day 1, but honestly, if you don’t like the remake games, don’t buy them.

@Bronze_Sausage So you’re arguing 1) splitting it in 3 parts narrowed the experience and 2) they weren’t eventuality available on a single platform. That is the literal 180 of what I said. Before making elementary school arguments, how about taking a minute to think out what you are saying?

@Bronze_Sausage Despite your personal opinions FF7r has been amazing. Splitting it into parts allowed for a more expansive experience. The fact it was split across 2 console generations only mattered if you needed to play the games on day 1.
