@messiah58507 Of course you don't need to auto-update if you prefer to do it manual. I haven't used rockettheme for years, so i'm not sure but I don't think rockettheme will be compatible with J6 at all.

@messiah58507 Yes, this makes it increasingly important that you also make automatic backups (prior to an update) and that extensions are updated regularly to avoid problems.

@Joomill They introduced auto-update... wow... but what if it crashes your site? Use Akeeba Backup to stay safe.

@sulpher That’s for sure. For developers, it’s the reason to test their extensions and templates whenever a beta version of Joomla is released.

@Joomill this is dangerous feature. E.g. after releasing Joomla 5.3.0 all Yootheme Pro based sites got error if the page contains next/prev pagination. A fixed version of the builder was released later but this is a good illustration that automatic updates endanger #Joomla sites.
