The nearest $SPY gap is 686, hopefully it pulls back to that level by end of this week before grinding higher over 700 imo 👍

The market can prove you wrong no matter how many indicators you use. After looking at supply / demand levels, moving average ensemble etc., I assumed a pullback at $690. That was 8% off the low for SPY. It didn’t happen. Yes, I bought a small put position at $680 & $690, & sold them for a loss. The position was small because of how impulsive the rally was. In 34 years I’ve not seen a rally quite like this one so I was tepid. A close second was the rally of March 14-29 in 2022. It’s also now the 2nd largest VIX compression in a 2 week period (peak to trough) in the 33 year history of the VIX. 42%. My only saving grace was sticking to the rules & not swinging big. Still got it wrong but only a sting & not a wipeout.

Even with America oil and Venezuela oil at record high production it’s still no where near what was lost in the straight of Hormuz. difference is enormous. The world is 20 million barrels per day short.

I'm trying to figure something out. The US creates about 15 million barrels of oil a day which isn't enough to fulfill even our domestic demand. Now that the world is coming to us for oil, how do we meet that demand without raising prices?

Pattern day trading rule has been rescinded. You no longer need to have 25k! Now you can place as many trades you want, open and close them and the broker cannot do nothing about you!!
