I'm happy to announce that my recent work on characterizing the humoral immune response to Puumala virus infection has been published in eBioMedicine. We got some funky results that hint at persistent human infection. Watch this space 👀🦠

By breaking it up MMR, you provide zero extra benefit, and only increase the likelihood kids will miss their M, other M, or R. Measles/mumps will return, and so will congenital rubella syndrome which causes microcephaly, cataracts, structural heart defects. It’s unethical.

We have a new preprint on Puumalavirus infections out. This is a fantastic collaboration with Robert Krause @RobertK05753862 at @MedUniGraz . Work in my lab was spearheaded by @JordanDoesFlu (who didn't do flu this time). Cross-binding antibodies capable of neutralizing diverse orthohantaviruses are produced in response to Puumala virus infection medrxiv.org/content/10.110…
