A new taxonomic key is also provided, allowing reliable identification of West Indian Belonuchus—an essential step for any future work.

This revision updates the group with: 🔹 7 species new to science 🔹 2 synonymies 🔹 17 total species recognized in the West Indies

While some recent work has been done on mainland Neotropical Philonthina (phylogenies, species concepts, keys, checklists), the West Indian Belonuchus were last treated over 80 years ago by Blackwelder—and largely overlooked since.
