Greetings from the Big South. Here for Radford practice. Year 1 of the Zach Chu era.

A heavy focus on analytics here under Zach Chu at Radford. Focus at practice is on making 3’s and layups. The philosophy reminds me of a mid-major Alabama in terms of the overall game plan.

Loads of power conference talent here at Radford: Brennan Rigsby (Minnesota), Dennis Parker Jr. (NC State), Del Jones (Clemson), Mari Jordan (Georgia/Tulane). But a real guy to watch is Tennessee Tech transfer Jaylon Johnson. LETHAL from distance.

MMM Preseason Newcomer of the Year: Jaylon Johnson (Radford) Coming over from Tennessee Tech, Johnson scored double digits in 25 of 32 games last season. Along with that, he dished out 153 assists and shot 35% from three. Do-it-all. Radford has most talent in league, new coach.

Sources: The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a two-way deal with Jalen Crutcher. He’s averaged 18.1 points, 6.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds for the Birmingham Squadron, G League affiliate of the Pelicans. Two-way guard Brandon Boston Jr. will be converted to a standard NBA deal
