I’m very exited to share that I will start a continuing position as lecturer at @UOW in early 2023 🥳 I’m grateful to all who have supported me during my career thus far 💙 Now we can take all those collaborations to the next level 🦭🐳🐬

Our new paper just out: Pygmy blue whale movement, distribution and important areas led by @m_thumsy as part of @aims_gov_au NWSSRP sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Gone far too soon. The #MarineScience & #IODP communities lost of of their own with the passing of Prof. Leanne Armand. An incredible leader and advocate for #womeninSTEM. Fortunate to have called her a mentor and been able to sail w/ her. She will be greatly missed 💔

Genetic assessment of commercially exploited Australian gummy #shark using genome-wide data has revealed genetic structure between individuals from E and S coast. Modelling showed more rapid decline of Ne in recent past compared to historical projections. bit.ly/meps_678_109

Our @CEBELresearch @FlindersMarine latest contribution towards the population assessment and management of common dolphin fisheries bycatch in southern Australian waters. Article is open access: frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…

Freshly baked from my PhD! A real pleasure to get this project published, with a lot of great colleagues. Using genomic data we show that Australasian common dolphins have a hierarchical metapopulation structure with gene flow persistence in the region. frontiersin.org/article/10.338…

Great collaboration led by @Ana_Rita_Amaral @cE3cResearch to understand the speciation process and population structure of humpback dolphins! @CEBELresearch @FlindersMarine Always good to come back from leave and start with good news! @HeredityJournal doi.org/10.1093/jhered…
