@KBow_Photo I mean you could say a similar for GTWC for Spa 24 hours, its just how it is, plus its a way to filter down cars as there is lots of demand for cars to race at Le Mans
Maturity is realising WEC is actually endurance racing while IMSA (MEC races) is a collection of sprint races. In WEC, after an FCY if it is a short one, there will not be a SC thrown but IMSA always throw an SC even when it is not needed, thats why IMSA has "closer racing".
@toxic_coyote12@gapple_bees So it’s fair, if not likely that if GM ever puts one of their factory drivers in the ZR1, it would easily regain the crown. Both Catsburg and Sims that currently race with Pratt Miller have won the Nurburgring 24 Hours overall.
@toxic_coyote12@gapple_bees The caption for the video stating it’s the GTD Competition. So yeah, let’s see what a pro Corvette driver can do without Ford completely reworking the car and throwing racing slicks on it
A 6:40 is super fast and I know the zr1x still has over 200 more hp than this upgraded gtd. But this mustang is literally running slicks and they did upgrade the supercharger. It’s kind of misleading that these articles are saying it like it’s a stock car for the caption/title
@gapple_bees Even if you consider them professionals, there are massive differences between the speed of professionals drivers. They certainly are not platinum drivers like Ford is using
@KBow_Photo I didn’t want to note that since the engineers did get trained and have a bunch of laps under their belts but they arent professionals. I wonder what the car would run with someone like Misha.
@ianxellis All the parents of travel ball kids think their kid is the next offensive prodigy because they can hit home runs with drop 12 bats on short fields.
