Our team had a great tour of Hadrian’s new $2.4B advanced manufacturing facility that will soon be fueling our warfighters and American military might.
It will create 1,000 new local jobs – and generate hundreds of purchase orders for small businesses across northwest Alabama.

@jessegenet @LargeFamDad @sarahdingwang It’s already helping the average mom with questions like “is this infected? What is this rash on my baby’s skin?” And it’s saving pediatricians a ton of time on things that can be answered by an image.

@LargeFamDad @KTmBoyle @sarahdingwang Kindly I don't think that will end up true. Currently yes because some of this technology is rough around the edges. But your comment is sort of like saying 'most moms won't use the internet' in decades past... At some point it will absolutely help the average mom live better.

America is back in the business of sending astronauts to the Moon and bringing them home safely.
Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy did an outstanding job. These talented astronauts inspired the world and represented their space agencies and nations as humanity’s ambassadors to the stars.
This was a test mission, the first crewed flight of SLS and Orion, pushing farther into the unforgiving environment of space than ever before, and it carried real risk. They accepted that risk for all we stood to learn and for the exciting missions that follow, as we return to the lunar surface, build a Moon base, and prepare for what comes next.
And they were not alone. The entire NASA workforce, our commercial and international partners, and the hopes and dreams of people all over the world were with them. The astronauts know it, and you should too. This mission would not have been possible without you.
Congratulations. Artemis II, mission accomplished.

As everything becomes more synthetic and work is less attached to human achievement, people will long for atoms, matter, physical reality. Real things that take real work. That’s the family.
This is the tail end of a millennial experiment that we should all admit was a failure. It’s not where the winds are blowing though. The next generation will not be duped.

A milestone for Artemis II.
For the first time in more than half a century, humans are laying eyes on this side of the Moon again. Artemis II’s trajectory will also reveal parts of the Moon no human has ever seen before.

As Orion journeys behind the Moon, radio signals from our networks cannot reach the spacecraft. Orion will go into a planned communications blackout for forty minutes while the Deep Space Network is standing by to reacquire signals. Our astronauts have prepared extensively for every maneuver amid lunar flyby – including the communications blackout. Artemis II Pilot Victor Glover shares a message of love just before Orion's temporarily planned loss of communications with Mission Control.

Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth.
On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world.
Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isn’t over until they’re under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.

This crew is the most fun to watch of any I've witnessed. Looks like the three years they've been together since being assigned to this mission have bonded them like an '80s sitcom family. I'd watch that show!

In an emotional moment broadcast live from the Orion spacecraft, the Artemis II crew chose to name a Moon crater “Carroll" after commander Reid Wiseman's wife, who died of cancer in 2020. “It's a bright spot on the Moon. And we would like to call it Carroll."
