The meaning of life is NOT to reproduce. Reproduction belongs to the biological layer of existence, something we share with animals. But the human being is not defined by biology alone. We are here for spiritual development. Reproduction is a vehicle, not the purpose. Birth is seen as the way souls enter the physical world. In that sense, reproduction serves a role in the larger cosmic process —but it is not your ultimate goal. Your real task is what you do with the life you’ve been given. The true aim: inner transformation Life’s meaning lies in the conscious evolution of the soul —developing truth, love, moral strength, and self-awareness. This is tied to the awakening of the higher self, often connected in esoteric teachings to the Christ Being within the human soul. Freedom over instinct. If life were only about reproduction, we would be bound entirely by instinct. But humans are meant to become free beings—capable of acting out of conscious moral insight, not just biological drives.

Medvedev -145 1U (BOL) Bet this at a retirement book just in case. Yes, I know that we’d secured identical profit no matter the result of this match from our Medvedev +325 and Draper +750 quarter futures pre tournament, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t bet if I see value, and I do here. This is such a tough spot for Jack— he has less than 24 hours to recover after a super physical and intense instant classic of a 2 hour and 37 minute WAR vs Djokovic. Factoring in everything— the length of the match, the physicality of the points played, the emotional roller coaster of being down a set, then serving for the match and shitting yourself and looking like it was gonna be 5-3 to 5-7, then making it to the tiebreak and grabbing the early lead, then losing it and yelling that your racket sucks, then somehow managing to end up on top, combined with the fact that it was his first ever win against the GOAT, I expect Jack to very understandably be low on both physical and emotional energy in this one. It is the epitome of a letdown spot on both fronts. This is especially troubling for someone like Draper who’s very prone to fitness issues, which can be especially true when he’s still in the early stages of his comeback after a long injury layoff and, by his own admission, not yet quite at 100% despite the impressive win vs Novak. It’s projected to be over 90 degrees when this match starts at 5PM local time— big trouble for Jack. Furthermore, Medvedev is one of the absolute worst opponents to play if you’re running low on fuel. He tries to turn every point into a long, grueling rally where he simply won’t miss and outlasts his opponents. At his peak, which dare I say we’ve seen flashes of here, he has rightfully earned the nickname of “The Great Wall of Medvedev.” Sure, counterpunchers historically don’t do great at Indian Wells for obvious reasons, and despite Medvedev’s infamous ranting about how he hates the slow conditions, he’s done quite well here the past three seasons— SF, F, F, last three appearances in tennis paradise. I still wouldn’t call these courts fast, but some data does suggest that courts have been playing fastER this year, which can be a combination of a few things (new Dunlop balls, high temperature, low humidity, no wind most days), and Medvedev’s impressive results thus far, winning all six sets without even being pushed to 7-5 and only dropping serve once, would support that The Thursday forecast calls for 91 degrees with only 7% humidity and 3mph winds at first ball— this weather lends itself to the tennis ball traveling through the air quickly, which is good for Meddy who likes to absorb and redirect pace rather than generating his own. Plus, as a righty counterpuncher whose backhand is the more solid wing, a super hard-hitting lefty like Draper who will supply plenty of pace should be a great matchup stylistically for Daniil. All in all, when I factor in this being an ultimate letdown spot, fatigue, the heat, and the matchup, it’s just very tough for me to see Draper managing to win this match ~ 44% of the time or more. I see value on Medvedev at -150 and will likely add to him down a set unless the first is super quick and easy considering Jack’s fitness and energy concerns. Daniil has breezed through his first three matches and should have a big edge if this one becomes long and physical, which happens often when it’s Meddy vs a quality opponent
