In this shot the serpent, Viritra, breaks free from its statuesque shell and awakens from its slumber. We wanted to show a beautiful moment where noodle is caught off guard as she is innocently playing in her jungle home. Jamie was keen to avoid this shot feeling anime, we also saw this as an opportunity to emphasise the authenticity of our references from the 60s and 70s era of animation, so we kept the framing clear and clean and limited the camera movement to what would have been done in animated features of the 60s.
