@KarimDiff We don't presently have a separate PHY 2048C for physics majors. Our majors take the course (and PHY 2049C) with the other math-intensive STEM majors.

In addition to being a leader in the particle physics world, this past fall Harry created a new course in computing for first semester physics majors. So our physics majors now get their first dose of computing experience as soon as they set foot on campus for the first time!

@KarimDiff No - PHY 2048C is separate. Harry's course is PHZ 1140C, "Computational Physics Laboratory". It's so new that it isn't even in the bulletin for the 2023-24 academic year.

This is one the most dangerous practices. Without parents standing up to these counselors students get pushed on a track that is very difficult to correct once in college

@adiastra99 Yes I can understand that. If you decide to dig in a little deeper into Javascript I would recommend p5js.org it's a fun and easy library to work with for animations. Not meant for heavy duty calculations though.

1/ There will be no update today. At 8:30 am this morning, state police came into my house and took all my hardware and tech. They were serving a warrant on my computer after DOH filed a complaint. They pointed a gun in my face. They pointed guns at my kids..
