Dunstaffnage Castle near Oban in Scotland. It was built before 1240 on the site of a stronghold of the ancient Kingdom of Dalriada (or Dal Riata). It was the seat of the MacDougalls of Lorn. It commands a wide view of the sea and the entrance to Loch Etive.

Reform UK believes in a civic British identity which is an "empire identity". They believe the isolated Pakistani communities in Britain are just as British as the indigenous people of the British Isles. So e.g. the rape gangs and those complicit in the Pakistani community cannot be deported en masse. They will maintain multicultural Britain. Restore Britain believes in a civic British identity built around the culture of the native people of the British Isles. So the indigenous people of the British Isles have a right to determine the way of life in Britain; the people who are complicit in the rape of English children can be deported; and different legal system and practices incompatible with the British way of life can be banned. They will seek to make Britain culturally British again and encourage those living in isolated colonies in Britain (who have not integrated and are unlikely to do so in future) to return to their countries of origin. This is actually the key point which will decide the fate of Britain. cc. @ThePosieParker

How important is the demographic question? It would appear to be the biggest distinction between Reform and Restore. Reform believes in civic nationalism and that immigrants can be integrated into British society. Restore, or at least some of its most vocal champions, believes that being English is an ethnic identity that cannot simply be adopted by newcomers, certainly not in one generation. This question remains relegated to fairly fringe right-wing politics; for now. But important will it be in five, ten, or twenty years time?

Huge news - Restore Britain has just hit a record 9% in a national poll. 9%. That is massive. Restore Britain is the fastest growing political party in British political history. I am more and more confident that we will win the next general election.

Ar-Pharazon assails Valinor by Alan Lee Manwe calls upon Eru Ilúvatar “Then Manwe upon the Mountain called upon Iluvatar, and for that time the Valar laid down their government of Arda. But Iluvatar showed forth his power, and he changed the fashion of the world; and a great chasm opened in the sea between Numenor and the Deathless Lands, and the waters flowed down into it, and the noise and smoke of the cataracts went up to heaven, and the world was shaken. And all the fleets of the Numenoreans were drawn down into the abyss, and they were drowned and swallowed up for ever. But Ar-Pharazon the King and the mortal warriors that had set foot upon the land of Aman were buried under falling hills: there it is said that they lie imprisoned in the Caves of the Forgotten, until the Last Battle and the Day of Doom. But the land of Aman and Eressea of the Eldar were taken away and removed beyond the reach of Men for ever. “

I have decided to escalate my complaint against the BBC over David Olusoga’s Empire. Its first response was dismissive and unsatisfactory. It misreported my argument, answered straw men of its own making, and failed to reckon seriously with the Corporation’s own standards of impartiality. This is no longer only a question about one tendentious programme. It is also a question about whether the BBC is willing to confront serious criticism honestly, accurately, and in the spirit of the editorial standards it expects others to respect. I want to know exactly why Axel Rudakubana’s family came to the UK - on what visa, for what reason. From the BBC report today… 'There was stark criticism particularly for his father Alphonse Rudakubana, who Sir Adrian said had deliberately withheld information about his son amassing a stash of deadly weapons including the biological toxin ricin. Sir Adrian said if the parents had reported their true level of knowledge to the authorities before the attack, the killer would "undoubtedly have been taken into care or held in custody".' I have put official questions to the Home Office on the role his parents played, and why they were in our country to begin with. It is my view that the police should urgently investigate both the mother and the father of that monster, prosecuting/deporting where possible.
