Woke up to the good news that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the reconstruction of the Osogbo-Akoda-Gbongan Road in Osun State (59.2 kilometers, estimated at N101bn) and the Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road (90.9 kilometers, N114bn). Both roads were under construction during the Oyetola administration. Regarding the Iwo-Osogbo road specifically, Seyi Makinde and the then-Governor of Osun State worked hand-in-hand to make the roads leading to Ibadan, Oyo State, motorable. The engineer, a local contractor from that axis, started construction immediately. Unfortunately, months later, Oyetola was not re-elected. People in that area hoped construction would continue since the engineer was already on-site, but the Adeleke-led government canceled the contract. They promised to mobilize the engineer back to the site after completing an investigation, but until this moment, they have yet to do so. Oluwo and others have been in contact with federal authorities to come to the rescue, and Alhamdulillah, they finally approved it. I told my brother, @salawueedris1, last week that the road had been approved and that they would mobilize this week or next—and God is so good, the news is finally here. If someone comes to your area and asks what Tinubu has done for us in Osun, show them the video of the ongoing construction on the Ile-Ife–Ilesha–Ibadan Road, and share the good news of these newly approved projects.

Ongoing construction in Ile-Ife reveals a total lack of government oversight. Substandard drainage and structural deficiencies are already evident, pointing to a failure by the Adeleke administration to enforce basic engineering standards. This isn't development; it's a waste of public resources that will crumble in months.

The road leading to the ancient Palace of the Ooni should be a source of pride, not a site of substandard experimentation. By allowing such poor drainage and flimsy walkway construction, Governor Adeleke is showing a lack of respect for the heart of Ile-Ife.

Osun taxpayers are being cheated in broad daylight. The structural deficiencies between Obalufe Palace and Tina Bookshop are evidence of a government that has abandoned its duty of oversight. Why are we paying for infrastructure that is guaranteed to wash away with the first rain? This isn't 'Imole'; it’s a total blackout of engineering standards.

Fellow citizens of Osun, I invite you to take a closer look and reflect critically: is this truly the standard we should expect from a project valued at ₦14 billion? There are growing concerns that the Lagere–Ooni’s Palace project, rather than representing meaningful development, is beginning to raise questions about priorities and long-term value. Infrastructure, especially in such a significant and historic corridor between Obalufe and Tina Bookshop, should meet standards that guarantee safety, durability, and proper urban planning. Reports and observations suggesting extremely narrow walkways allegedly as little as 50mm are troubling. Public infrastructure is not just about aesthetics or short-term visibility; it is about ensuring the safety and convenience of the people who use it daily. The good people of Ile-Ife deserve projects that can stand the test of time, not ones that may struggle to endure even the first heavy rains. Development should inspire confidence, not concern. As stakeholders in the future of Osun State, it is only right that we continue to ask questions, demand accountability, and advocate for quality that reflects the value of public funds.

Is this the quality we get for ₦14 Billion? The Lagere-Ooni's Palace project is looking less like 'development' and more like an election-year scam. Between Obalufe and Tina Bookshop, the Adeleke administration is trading our safety for photo-ops. 50\text{mm} walkways?

Is it a wrong thing if I protect my friends by filtering out the men who are interested in them?
