The King and Queen were joined by Sir Idris Elba at Barking & Dagenham Rush Green Campus. 🎨 The college offers a range of technical and professional education courses to students. Their Majesties met students taking part in fashion, plumbing, healthcare and cookery workshops. 🎬 The King and Queen also joined Sir Idris, alumnus of the college and @KingsTrust, at the state-of-the-art TV and film studios named in his honour.

Wishing Neil in Ukraine, and all British diplomats around the world, a merry Christmas. I’m immensely proud of the dedication of colleagues at home and abroad, UK-based and country-based, but my thoughts today are especially with colleagues serving far from home and family.

Michelle and I are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Rob Reiner and his beloved wife, Michele. Rob’s achievements in film and television gave us some of our most cherished stories on screen. But beneath all of the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people—and a lifelong commitment to putting that belief into action. Together, he and his wife lived lives defined by purpose. They will be remembered for the values they championed and the countless people they inspired. We send our deepest condolences to all who loved them.
