@kathrynhall_ So true. It would be nice if the algorithm gave us a few freebies, right? Imagine if we could heart cancer survivors, those who triumph over addiction, and political posts without the punishing deluge

I understand that social media works on the algorithm, but I liked a couple of political posts yesterday and now have no regulars and hardly any bookish posts in my TL. Just a load of bollocks about clown MPs and the crap state of our country 🙄

At my kid’s dance recital where there’s a digital program. We love to save programs from stuff like this, yet another thing lost to the digital age.

It’s my birthday!! (I love birthdays! 🎉) This year my DREAM BOOK will be released…the book that means more to me than any other book I’ve written combined & then some. This is cheesy but—if you have a dream, fight for it no matter how long it takes. Miracles happen!! 🩰📚👻🔥

Everyone is hating on gray and I do not like purple, so ..... which do you prefer. Potential judgements will be made regarding choice.

@Architectolder One wonders at the creator's state of mind. After all, who was this purple-mauve maniac? Why did he/she inflict fashion murder upon this innocent room? How does this person function and do they own multiple dozens of cats? So many questions

Inspired by all of the paska I'm seeing all over the internet, I got inspired and baked my own. I'm pleasantly surprised at how it turned out. Happy Easter! I wish peace for all those celebrating tomorrow. (I guess now today.)

@deaflibertarian In my years as a musician, I learned that the real emotion lies not in what you play, but in what the audience experiences. Meaning it isn't what you say, but what they interpret. Give it to God. He will make sure each person understands what they need to understand

Up at 2 AM, puking from anxiety about public speaking tomorrow. It's never been like this before- butterflies, sure, but not this. I feel ill. I think my presenting days are over.

One artist who should better known is Jessie Bayes (1876-1970). Born in London to a family of artists, she belonged to the Morris-inspired Arts & Crafts movement and designed font panels, stained-glass windows & illustrated manuscripts, such as “To the Night & the Cloud.” (1/4)

Sad, so very sad. My generation had to work for knowledge, so we prized it. We were so excited about the information super highway, about easy access to any and every topic. It is a great loss, the erasure and in some cases outright falsification of facts (ahem, AI, I'm looking at you), akin to the burning of libraries

The promise of the early web was that all the world’s knowledge would be preserved and accessible. In the past several years we’ve seen attempts to destroy every major hub of the knowledge-based internet. The “information super-highway” is a dream that is nearly dead.

I’ve often joked about my writing space, which until now has been on our crumb-filled couch or at the dinning room table. Today, I FINALLY have a writing desk, a small space in our basement all my own. Not sure why I didn’t think to do this sooner, but it feels monumental now. 🙌

In case there’s anyone who hasn’t heard the partying: I beat inoperable, incurable cancer. I kicked it down the stairs, took its lunch money, & threw rocks at it as it ran away crying. Green bananas for everyone who wants them!
