🎷🦁 Books in Motion® 2025 kicked off with a WILD and joyful ROAR at the Southwest Library Branch — and it was PACKED OUT! With close to 200 attendees, our first public performance was an unforgettable start to the season set to the wildest musical score we’ve ever heard! 🎉📚 🐒 🎶 Books in Motion® brought the hilarious and imaginative “Never Play Music Right Next to the Zoo” by John Lithgow and Leeza Hernandez to life — and let’s just say... the animals weren’t the only ones dancing! 🎺🦓 Thanks to the incredible @mclaughlindancecollective, kids and families were swept into a full storytelling experience filled with music, movement, laughter, and zoo-sized fun. After the show, children joined a themed dance class and made creative crafts to bring the book’s magic home. 💃🎨🦒 Huge thanks to @kerncountylibrary for helping make this event so special and for opening their doors to hundreds of smiling families. This free event is just the beginning of a summer filled with connection, creativity, and community through Books in Motion®. 🎟️ Missed the Zoo?
