@Aboredguy6 @SoliSolitaires You can run offende on a sash Pelipper, which, against the trailer Pokémon of reg H, can result in decent damage output, while in reg F It Just does nothing impactful apart from setting up Rain, so it's usually Better tò not have It Stick around for multiple turns doing nothing

@SoliSolitaires In F i would say sash is almost always better due to the high damage of meta threats, while in lower power regulations like H bulky pelipper can shine more

@ZemTennar Yeah, no definetly, removing IVs is a choise i don't agree with but i can see where It comes from, in a game about making VGC simple and accessibile, it's either a slider or getting rid of it alltogether

@Wiltank Imo, it'll be a 1/2 year stopgap Avery time they wanna take more time for a new generation, now we play Champions, then WiWa, then After double restricted in WiWa we go back tò Champions for a while and wait for gen 11

@Wiltank @AspectZAG Can't see that being the case, and for the record I agree that the monetization model (at least with nothing else to go on) seems insane. Champions exists as both a "VGC National 'dex" format and an on-ramp for people w/o a Switch into mainline competitive Pokémon.

@TheNotoriousGNZ @Wiltank @MoxieBoosted @rkgt55 Level 50 dawg, it's exactly 32 points per stat at Level 50, which is the Level official rulesets are played at. Its actually in some cases an extra point, since with 66 points, at Level 50, 252-252-4 sets can now becomes 252-252-12 or 252-252-4-4.

252 max per stat is 63 stat points for 1 maxed out stat
Per Centro its 66 points per Pokemon where you can assign upwards of 32 to a single stat. From my understanding thats a significantly reduced stat increase

Do we lose some niche interactions without IVs? Yeah. But ultimately I think the changing of this mechanic makes the game more accessible and will ultimately be better for the health of competition. Cluttered speed tiers aside.

No IVs Unironicaly effects alot more of the game then "Just Trickroom":
- Speed tiers become so much more cluttered.
- Pokemon can't manipulate their stats lower outside of natures to benefit teambuilding; slower Incin, no more ATK boost Stakataka
- Hidden power never returns

@KeterVGC @Wiltank @MoxieBoosted @rkgt55 But an additional slider doesn’t resolve that. Natures still exist. I think the issue is how they tried to resolve this. You seem to only be able to add 66 points where you can max give a stat 32 additional points. That seems WAY too low.

Some Pokémon ran suboptimal HP Ivs for Life Orb recoil, stakataka ran bad def ivs with a negative nature in defense tò get the Attack boost from it's ability.

@Wiltank @MoxieBoosted @rkgt55 Why do you need an additional slider? If Pokemon can be given upwards of 66 additonal points per stat you can still modify your Pokemon based on your speed needs. All you’re doing is lowering the gap of how much speed options you hae but you can still be creative
