@mindplaydk What’s wrong with Express? I only use it for two mini projects with like half a dozen endpoints, but so far it’s okay to work with.

@aschmelyun I like Apples way to install apps, too. But they miserably failed at the uninstall process. Windows at least gives apps the opportunity to clean up their shit, but macOS apps just leave all their stuff in the user library.

I've never understood the hate for this. It's a single gesture, prompts you to either install the application [in full] or close the window and not continue. Infinitely better than multi-step forms and I don't want programs to install automatically on any system.

@zepfietje What exactly do you want to do? Sounds like asset images should be optimized in Vite before sending to the browser, but what’s the connection with Laravel?

What do people use for optimizing images (static assets) in their Laravel apps? 🖼️ I tried vite-imagetools, but having some issues. Seems like other options don’t support Vite 6, are no longer maintained, or don’t work well with Laravel. 🫠 Any advice is welcome! 😊
