Well this is some good news for today! Love the art and even picked up a copy when I was in Japan! Can't wait to read the translation!

Man I'm so happy I'm not the only one worried about the quality of this show. The manga isn't my favourite but the action events are stand out and this looks like it'll be such a poor adaption. Especially after how amazing dandadan was.

@balablu_bulaba @v2TokyoGhost Typically the opening gets some of the highest budget and effort spent on it because the 1:30 mins of content will be the most recycled part of the show. It looking this ok is just an indication that the overall show will be of a low quality, especially for a popular jump ip.

@v2TokyoGhost Cam someone explain to me how one can judge an entire season of an anime just but seeing the opening alone?

@Evirus Yeah it's quickly falling into generic shonen tropes. It does feel very... nationalist? I guess? I just hope it's actually going to do something instead of being that aliens ARE evil actually. Did you read yattara? That's also got some insane anti immigrant messaging too.

@KeyFramesPod I'm already losing interest, but only for "regular" reasons. I think the initial reactions calling out Drama Queen for being anti-immigrant are off base. I did see an argument that its allegories are anti-American instead of anti-immigrant, though. That seemed more compelling.

That new racist manga that everyone keeps saying is racist? Yeah, pretty racist.
