Moonraker (1979) goes completely off the rails and that’s the appeal. Roger Moore leaning into the absurd, a lineup of memorable villains, glossy visuals, and set pieces that just want to entertain. It’s Bond at his most ridiculous and it works.

Just stumbled across this photo of Arkle from 1991 and thought it was too good not to post. It feels like the game and the world changed a huge amount between his debut in 1977 and his retirement in 1993.

@WG_RumblePants I think that would’ve been when we won the Sunday league for the first time, pre coloured clothing ! I went to nearly every game home 🏡 and away that season. Derek opened the batting a lot that season alongside Chris Broad. Think it was my very first trip to the Oval that year
