#maeshomelearning A5 At 1st, it was almost daily. Now I try to limit to 1 informational e-mail, with others as necessary, phone calls that are necessary and a Google Meet. I posted a Sign Up (thanks for the idea Christine) so that parents can reach out to me if they need to.
@Kshultz5 No... but I create words before hand and then cover some of the letters up with the color tiles and we play what’s missing we are working on digraphs
#maeshomelearning A6 Right now, I'd say Canvas is a struggle for me. Today, working with a student felt (almost) like real teaching and it has been my greatest reward.
A3 I created a Canvas course and added all my intervention students to use the conference feature. Emailed my parents and said I'm available of my sts need support, but unfortunately it isn't getting interest. Just wish I could reach my sts! #maeshomelearning
#maeshomelearning Can't find Q 2, but will answer based on what I think is the topic. I like Google Meet. We are meeting 1x / wk. I used it today to tutor a student in spelling.
A5. I like the structure of math workshop, creating a risk free environment with great math thinking and sharing going on. Time flies! I’m still working hard to work the kinks out. I have lived these chats, reading what others do. That’s how we learn! ♥️ #MAESmath
A5 Always a work in progress. The structure is improving This year is better than last year. Next year is even more promising. I feel less like the kids are guinea pigs and more like collaborative workers. Thanks, Melanie. #MAESmath
A4 Self reflection helps me to think of what works, what needs tweaked and what just plain needs to go. It keeps me thinking about how to improve. Every class is different, so sometimes things I would keep or throw out are different depending on who I'm reaching. MAESmath
A3 We turn and talk, and sometimes,, even in math 2 stars and a wish, helps when a student small group has shared their work with the whole group. #MAESmath
