As a parent of a school-aged child, I know that this is currently the practice. Calls, texts, emails, See-Saws, teachers keep parents very informed. And that’s a good thing! So rather than promising something that’s already happening anyways, how about smaller class sizes?

@brent_bellamy No. I’m usually thinking how north west Winnipeg has no bike infrastructure over or under the tracks. And any way I try to go south they’re in the way. Then I think why the F do we still have these rail lines dissecting the city. It’s not 1923.

If we somehow find $3/4 billion to widen a road, we can never again say ‘we can’t afford it’. Homelessness, transit, active transportation, snow clearing, trees, arts, community centres, even potholes. If we don’t have money for these things, it’s because we choose not to.

With contingency, widening Kenaston to cost up to $715,000,000. Imagine the social good we could achieve with almost 3/4 billion dollars. Even just staying with transportation, for the same cost we could build the full 25 year plan rapid transit network, spanning the entire city.
