The Kyle Academy Dyslexia and Inclusive Practice Group hosted a bake sale on Wednesday at interval. Thanks to everyone who supported the bake sale. £94.50 was raised to buy more dyslexia friendly books for the school library! 🧁💷📚 ⁦@DyslexiaScotlan⁩ #DAW25

Dyslexia Awareness Week 25. Abi, Kianna and Abbi delivered assemblies to S1 and S2 about dyslexia myths. They spoke to their peers and teachers and showed clips from Jamie’s Dyslexia Revolution. ⁦@DyslexiaScotlan⁩ ⁦@jamieoliver⁩ #DAW25 #InclusionOurRoadToSuccess

SCHOOL CLOSURES - Storm Éowyn All South Ayrshire schools will be closed on Friday 24 Jan 2025. This includes all early years’ centres, primary, secondary and special schools. All breakfast clubs, after school care and Council Lets in school buildings will also be cancelled.

All staff were invited to watch “Dyslexia – Educate Me”, a short film about the experiences of dyslexic learners throughout the Scottish education system. We enjoyed popcorn whilst learning more about dyslexia. 🍿
