@shipwreckedcrew Nobody has undermined NATO more than Trump. The Epstein files must be really, really bad for him to have this size blowout.

BS -- GB, France, and Spain are all socialist or quasi-socialist governments. They would have more likely allied with the Soviets after WWII than the US. This is about the shift in politics of those countries. They have undermined NATO because the politics of their goverments have moved them in that direction.
Anne Applebaum@anneapplebaum

"This isn’t cowardice. It’s a calculation: If allied leaders thought that their sacrifice might count for something in Washington, they might choose differently." But most of them know that Trump will not even remember that it happened. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/03/…

@The__Luminator @Osint613 Coming from inside t2com he was driving the org off a cliff. Splitting COE responsibility between recruiting command and cac making any real decisions impossible. Im sure he was amazing in younger years but not now.

@Osint613 Served with Hodne in Iraq, 2008. Incredible Warrior. Not woke, Family man wife kids all that. I am 100% perplexed at this dismissal. He was a Ranger through and through, served on Operation Red Wings. I'm genuinely shocked here and don't understand this decision.

@Osint613 Understand General Green, clearly fired for being Black and not being baptized in a creek. But what's with Hodne? Not enough tattoos? Armed Services Committees not stepping up to bring sanity to the DoD? Or is "crazy" the new in thing at The Pentagon?

COMMENTARY: Donald Trump’s decision to join Israel in a war against Iran is a far bigger strategic error than George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq. It is also one with far greater strategic consequences. 🔗 politico.eu/article/iraq-i…

This has to be the most satisfying video of 2026. This is all I need—I don't even require coffee. I also think it’s funny that a woman pretending to be a man requested a woman police officer.

Whoever is the nominee in 2028 will be called “Trump, but more competent and dangerous.” This was already the narrative they had if DeSantis won. HES EVEN MORE DIABOLICAL. Anyone thinking Democrats will chill out post-Trump needs to put down the bong.
Duck Enlightenment@_jokeocracy

@Hay0Jim @Cernovich @ChrisMartzWX the point is that someday we will have a different Republican President and the media will call him Hitler and wistfully compare him to bygone Presidents. "He's so much worse then Trump, who certainly did make some valid points." this will absolutely happen you can bet on it

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Joe Kent, who walked out of the National Counterterrorism Center saying Iran posed "no imminent threat," is now saying the real fight is about to begin: getting Israel on board with peace. "President Trump is working to get peace with Iran. The Israelis will be against this, but POTUS is strong and can get them on board." Meanwhile, both sides are spinning the 5-day pause differently. Trump says talks are "productive." Iran says Trump "backed down" because their military threats became credible and bond market pressure inside the West forced his hand. The truth is probably somewhere in between. Kent saw this dynamic from inside the administration and quit over it. Now he's saying publicly what his former colleagues won't: the biggest obstacle to ending this war might not be in Tehran. Source: Fox26

@shipwreckedcrew Dumb take for me, but maybe they should consider building a shipping canal that routes through UAE or OMAN...provide as much distance as possible from Iran...or run the canal through the west and make Iran totally moot.🤷

Actual control of the Strait needs to be in the hands of the Arab Gulf States. They have the financial interest. We have sold them billions in weapons systems to defend themselves, and can certainly sell them more. We have bases all over that can support them. But this is an Arab v. Persian problem that goes back more than a thousand years. If they don't want their sons and daughters involved, then hire a mercenary army to do it -- they have plenty of money.
Bonchie@bonchieredstate

This is a big walk-back. You may think it's a good one. It's necessary. It's practical. But it's a big walk-back from "unconditional surrender" and actual regime change.
