The Burleigh County Dive Rescue, alongside the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, has conducted repeated searches of the Missouri River, carefully combing areas where evidence might surface. In a renewed push, a specialized K9 unit from Northstar Search and Rescue was brought in at the recommendation of state authorities. The team traveled from Minnesota to assist, focusing their efforts along the river over an intensive weekend search. Despite their advanced capabilities, no new leads were uncovered. Beyond official efforts, the community has played a critical role. Family members, friends, and volunteers have walked miles of shoreline, revisiting the same areas again and again—refusing to let Bullhead’s disappearance fade into silence. Still, one year later, the case remains active. Authorities are continuing to urge the public to come forward. Even the smallest detail could prove crucial in understanding what happened in those final moments.
