This is a two parter. Physical Therapist: Had 3 major sports injuries before the age of 17 (L ACL tear 🏈, R Knee MPFL tear ⚽️, L shoulder labrum tear 🤼) Thought becoming a PT would be a smart path, school was a lot harder than I expected, but got through. Banged Up Bills: Met @RockpileReport who had me on their pod, then realized I was dissatisfied with the level of detail available on injuries & wanted to offer my knowledge. Initially reached out to 2 outlets to provide what I do now, got the cold shoulder, decided I was going to create something myself. Always looking to grow & do more in both spaces.

@SokeyeA I find people’s insights on this topic so incredibly interesting! So much so, I created a pod interviewing people to hear it directly—and hopefully help others learn about career options! life-as-a.com

Got this for Christmas. Was a little suspect of an inflatable kayak on the ocean. 🤣 But it’s honestly awesome and works great!

I know some have asked where I’ve been recently. Thank you for caring and checking. My dad passed away earlier this week. He was a great man who lived a long, full life and celebrated his 88th birthday a week ago. Thank you for all your kindness. I’ll be back in action soon.

It’s frighteningly easy to develop pessimistic blinders and lose sight of the incredible blessings and achievements in our lives. This is common when a single identity—for example, job title and function—leads you to measure self-worth using one or two metrics (like income or promotions, usually in comparison to others) dependent on some variables outside of your control. Recalibrate your perspective, and prevent over-investment of ego in one area of life, with scheduled gratitude exercises that take a holistic inventory of the positive people and achievements in your life.

The 8th habit of highly effective people: They don’t spend all their time reading about the 7 habits of highly effective people. Extended reflection without action is a form of procrastination. Doing is a catalyst for thinking and learning.

Being obsessed with happiness can make us unhappy. Joy doesn't arise from ruminating about our emotions. It comes from immersing ourselves in worthwhile experiences. Happiness is not a goal to pursue. It's a byproduct of leading a life of meaning and engagement. @Trevornoah
